We are currently developing a 3D scanner in unity3d integrated with Point Cloud Library and Computational Geometry Algorithms Library. Real-time filtering, meshing and cloud registration (stitching) are also added. We are porting algorithms in CUDA to use it on embedded device, the front end for rendering in Linux is being developed in Ogre3D, while for rendering in windows/desktop we are using unity3d.

It will be a low-cost and high-performance system. The device will be used by clinicians and dermatologists for early melanoma (skin cancer) screening.
